Hours
The centre is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday all year round, with the exception of statutory holidays. In order to gain maximum benefit from our programs, we encourage children to arrive before 9:00 a.m. each day. If your child will be away on a day or will be arriving after 10:00 a.m., we would appreciate the prior notice.
Vacation
At our centre, we allow one week of vacation to be taken per the calendar year without payment of usual weekly/daily fees after your child has been enrolled with us for six consecutive months. For all other days (extra vacation, sick days, and statutory holidays) regular payment is required.
Cancellation
The provider reserves the right to terminate any child or family from the program with four (4) weeks’ notice. If a parent/guardian for any reason decides to withdraw a child from our program, a four-week written notice is also required. Once the child’s last day of attendance has been established, the deposit provided upon enrollment will be applied against the last two weeks of care.
Communication with Parents
TBEA acknowledges that parents are the most significant people in their children’s lives and serve first and foremost as teachers. As such, our teachers incorporate frequent communication with parents to keep you notified of their progress and development. This includes informal discussions daily during the pick-up and drop-off process accompanied by a formal annual parent/teacher meeting. In addition, our teachers share the day with parents through photographs of children taken completing daily activities as well as through our monthly newsletter. Further communication may take place via phone, e-mail or through written and posted communication tools.
At Teddy Bear Educare Advance we implement “Hi Mama”, a cloud-based child care software that enables quick and intuitive recording of observations in the early childhood setting, as well as instant sharing with parent/guardians through real-time emails and updates. Through Hi Mama, Educators are able to provide updates on a child’s daily activities such as meals, toileting, sleep or a quick picture to show what activities they are participating in for the day. This tool serves as a portal for parents where they can keep up with their children’s daily activities as well as upcoming events through our Events calendar.
